Turning lived experience into career pathways
What made this program so powerful was not just its structure, but the people behind it. Trainers with backgrounds in childcare and foster care helped create an environment where participants could transform their own stories into meaningful career pathways.
A huge thank you to Civic Assist for their unwavering advocacy, David Janetski MP for his support, and Mika Bowden for sharing culture and connection through Taiko Drumming.
Thank you also to Sam Bonaccorso for leadership and Cherie Furlong for mentorship throughout the journey.
Most importantly, thank you to the participants. Your courage and commitment have not only changed your own trajectory, but that of your children. It was a privilege to walk alongside you.
